Context for interpreting Brave-initiated BAT purchases, how we aggregate the data, and what each metric represents.
This page summarizes Brave-initiated BAT purchases reported across supported venues (for example, Uphold, Gemini, Coinbase). Each row in the ledger represents a single reported purchase with its date, venue, and size in BAT.
The data comes from the same transparency endpoint that powers the homepage (/data). We display the dataset timestamp in the hero card. If the live endpoint is unavailable, a local example dataset is used as a fallback for display.
Totals sum all BAT amounts across the ledger. The average purchase size divides the total BAT by the number of transactions. The top exchange aggregates BAT by venue and highlights the leader.
Purchases are grouped by the calendar month derived from each transaction’s timestamp. Months use your device’s local time zone, so entries near month boundaries may differ slightly from pure UTC views.
Individual purchase amounts retain up to two decimal places for readability; totals and averages are formatted consistently. Minor differences may appear between the table and chart tooltips due to formatting and rounding.
